News

I will be appearing at the Oxford Fringe on April 2, 2009 at Border’s Bookstore in Oxford as the moderator for a panel discussion on The Relevance of Biography to History sponsored by The Biographers’ Club. (Panel discussion begins at 2pm.) Panelists will include Ian Kelly (Sunday Times Biographer of the Year for his Casanova) and Kate Williams (Young Victoria, Random House, 2008). There will be two history academics (to be announced) joining Ian and Kate, and each of the four panelists will represent their view on the topic for a one hundred year period they’ve researched.

More News

HarperCollins has taken back all UK and Commonwealth rights from The History Press (successor to the licensee Sutton Publishing). This means that only HarperCollins books of The Pirate Queen in English are authorized for sale.

The paperback (Harper Perennial) will be available for sale in bookshops in the UK from February 2009. Meanwhile, if you’d like to obtain a copy of the book in the UK or the Commonwealth, please do so via the HarperCollins website or Amazon.com
